And we’re thrilled to accept your quality donations at our open stores.
It’s great to be back.
We’re delighted to welcome you back into our op shops! And as we continue to evolve with the changing environment, we have some important updates to share.
We’re going to take a phased approach to re-opening, so we can do it properly, with adequate social distancing and stepped-up hygiene measures firmly in place. This means our larger stores will open first, followed by our smaller stores.
Opening times vary, please check each store for details:
Unfortunately, we cannot receive donated items at stores that are still closed, so for now, please don’t leave goods outside those stores.
Check the list above to find your closest open store.
We’re now recruiting new volunteers across all BSL op shops! So if you’d like to support us as we open more stores, we’d love to hear from you! Head over to stores.bsl.org.au/volunteer to find out how you can join our wonderful team. And the good news is it only takes one minute to apply.
Spread the word among your friends and family, and if you know anyone who would like the opportunity to fill some time, we would love to be in touch!
Having to close our stores was very tough, as we know they play a vital role in connecting the community, employees and volunteers in addition to providing an affordable shopping experience for all. We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone again and getting back to our core purpose of raising funds to support programs and research for people living with disadvantage.
We’re so grateful for your continued support and look forward to seeing you soon!

Browse through tens of thousands of quality second-hand books. With all of us spending more time at home, this is the perfect time to fall (back) in love with books.
All donated books are routinely cleaned before they are despatched, and proceeds from your purchase will support BSL in serving the most disadvantaged in our community.
